I have heard that Japan is expensive?
Japan is not any more expensive than living in Australia, England, or any country in North America. This is not to say that areas of Japan are not more expensive than others. For example, Tokyo is expensive. In addition, if you only eat foreign food than that may become expensive as well. However, living in Nagoya you will find you will be able to live comfortably and be able to save if you want to.
Do you provide housing?
Yes! We provide housing for our foreign teaching staff. The monthly rate for housing is taken from your paycheck.
Are there English speaking doctors and dentists?
Yes. There are many English speaking doctors and dentists that will provide you service. In fact, we have an English speaking doctor and dentist down the street from our school in Nagakute.

Japan is a very safe country with low levels of crime.
Where in Japan is Nagoya?
Japan is made up of four main islands. Nagoya is located in central Japan on Honshu Island. Its central location makes it easily accessible to explore Japan and also visit other areas of Asia. During the off seasons it is very cheap to fly out of Nagoya to other places in Asia. Your yen will go a long way in a lot of these countries. However, if you are only spending a year in Japan, you will have enough to see in Japan alone.
Is it difficult to travel in Japan if I do not speak Japanese and do not have a car?
No. You will find Japan a pleasure to travel in. Not only are the people very friendly and willing to help out anyway they can, but Japan has excellent public transportation systems. Also, signs in highly populated areas read in both Japanese and English.
Will I have health insurance while I am in Japan?
Yes. Living and working in Japan, you will become a part of the national health insurance program. However, there may be private travel health companies that you prefer to use instead.
Are there a variety of foods in the supermarket?
Yes! You can find many of the same foods you have at your home in the supermarkets in Japan.
